As you know, this month marks the one-year anniversary of the Iranian post-election protests, arrests, and abuses of rights. It also marks a year since Where is My Vote - NY has actively and continuously campaigned in solidarity with the Iranian people, faithfully committed to their inviolable self-determination. This past year, we have conducted and co-sponsored dozens of events and initiatives, including a 3-day hunger strike at the UN, the Global Day of Action, the Green Scroll march across the Brooklyn Bridge, rallies, teach-ins, and debates; produced art and music videos; and provided refugee assistance. Our efforts have been featured in major news media outlets including CNN, BBC, and the NY Times. We would not have been able to do this without the continued help and support of our community, without your dedication and commitment to civil and human rights in Iran. We invite you to join us for a participatory living art installation at noon on Saturday June 12th, 2010, at the Iranian mission to the UN (41st St. & 3rd Ave.), followed by a march and rally.
